On completing my Master's at Kingston University as a mature student, and why this achievement belongs to every person who believed in the journey.
This summer, I reached a milestone that means so much to me — completing my Master of Science in International Business Management at Kingston University. For me, this degree was never just about a certificate. It was about testing my limits, proving that growth has no age, and embracing the challenges of being a mature student while balancing studies, family, and running businesses across the UK and UAE.
The experience stretched me in every direction: exploring new theories and global business strategies, collaborating with classmates from extraordinarily diverse backgrounds, and finding fresh ways to connect academic learning with real-world practice. Every module challenged me to think differently about markets, strategy, and leadership.
I didn’t go back to university to get a piece of paper. I went back because I asked myself: I’ve built brands. I’ve seen markets. But how do I grow smarter, not just bigger?
My entrepreneurial journey has taken me across very different industries, each teaching me something vital. From launching FayBijoux in luxury retail, to co-creating DoctorInternet at the intersection of health and digital innovation, to building Ricco London in hospitality, and working with GLOBALWIIN to champion women’s empowerment — every venture has shaped the way I see business, resilience, and purpose.
One of the most rewarding moments was being invited back as an alumna to speak to current MIBM students about my journey — and to then see that conversation highlighted in the Faculty newsletter. An honour I didn’t expect.
This achievement is not mine alone. It belongs to my partner, my parents, my children, and my family, whose love, belief, and strength carried me every step of the way. And to the mentors, colleagues, and friends who turned challenges into milestones.
And now, the journey continues with NINIV — helping businesses sharpen their market positioning, expand across borders, and unlock new growth. This Master’s adds another layer of insight and strength to the work we do every day: empowering purpose-led brands to scale with clarity, confidence, and impact.
